The Fragile Sound tells the stories of the fishermen/women of Alaska’s Prince William Sound.
Evenn Moore used to work a dead end job as a gravedigger in Missouri but now has the opportunity to captain a commercial fishing vessel on the oceans of the last frontier. The pressure is on to be successful in a high risk industry that doesn’t give second chances. Meanwhile a scarcity of fish forces everyone to come face to face with the effects of global warming during the hottest summer on record. Director/cinematographer Joey Katz works on the boat while filming, offering a uniquely intimate view on the passionate and hardworking lives of modern fisherpeople.
