He was a Segment Director on the feature documentary "Seed", which premiered at SXSW and is distributed on Amazon Prime Video.
In college he created "Adventure Katz" a student Emmy award winning travel/adventure web series which garnered over 150,000 views.
He is a co-founder at Right To Win a non-profit which helps high-schoolers around the US who cannot afford participation fees for school sports.
In his spare time Joey has hiked the Appalachian Trail, hopped freight trains, and skateboarded across the Netherlands.
Joey believes in connecting to his characters on a deep personal level in order to tell his/her story most honestly and intimately. Real truth takes patience to uncover but is important in telling the best story possible.
